"This app is simple easy to use and a nice companion to my digital logger smart PDU. Before getting into the why I appreciate this app so much. I just wanted to give a word of advice to those whom may of had trouble with this device. In the setup page try turning on these 2 checkboxes. Allow legacy plaintext login methods & Allow plaintext URL logins. Recently, I was on vacation and needed to login remotely to power cycle a switch, because no one had a key to the network closet. My saving grace ended up being this app and a tailscale vpn hosted on a raspberry pi with a lte connection all that just to get back to the digital logger pdu. Boss never liked paying for an LTE backhaul, but I told them one day it will likely pay off and you won't regret it. Now, I am not a security expert and nor will I ever claim to be... I am sure on some front we are sacrificing a level of security by enabling these features. Though I must counter that with what's the cost to reward for your application. In the rack mysetup sits this whole management setup is locked down and monitored that in my use case I am confident something else in my network will get pwned far before this smart switch."
